Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): The Government Middle School Tenyiphe-1 held its annual games and sports meet on March 12 with R. Amongla Jamir, District Education Officer (DEO), Dimapur as the chief guest. This was stated in an update by the headmaster of GMS, Tenyiphe-1.

Jamir in her speech said that winning in games and sports is not important but participating in a spirit of sportsmanship and co-operation is more important.

She said that a sound mind rest in body therefore one must exercise to stay healthy through games and sports. She also encouraged the students that in this competitive society, academic alone is not enough but one must be skilful in different activities to compete with others. She concluded by saying that young, talented and good leaders are expected from the school.
