GHS Wokha celebrates silver jubilee

Wokha, Dec. 15 (EMN): Motsuthung Lotha, secretary to the Government of Nagaland, graced the 25th anniversary celebration of Gilgal High School, Wokha, as the chief guest on December 15.

Speaking on the occasion, Lotha urge the students and teachers to exhibit their potentialities to the extent of bringing laurels to the school and for the community. He challenged the students to be professional in every field and always look forward to face challenges with determination and to excavate inner strength by making education as the top priority.

Wishing the administration a good beginning and a glorious journey, he prayed that the school would produce good students with vision to assist and guide/ lead the future.

Rev. Dr. L Tsanso Lotha, pastor of Pongidong Baptist Church, spoke on the theme “Fear God love wisdom.” Expressing the beauty of God’s love, he instil upon the students to regenerate like a divine seed by the renewing of their spirit. He reminded that ‘the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.’

Short messages were delivered by Yanrothung Odyuo, LSU vice president, and Renchithung Odyuo, alumni president.

Earlier in the day, dedication of monolith was performed by Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha, LBES executive secretary, followed by unveiling of the monolith by the chief guest.

Scripture reading and invocation was done by Rev. ZK Yanthan, pastor of Sungro Town Baptist Church, while the welcome note was delivered by L Ajanthung Ngullie, convener of planning committee, and short speech was delivered by LR Ezung, proprietor of Gilgal High School.

The event was enthralled with presentation of special songs sung by the jubilee choir and Konthunglo Ngullie and the vote of thanks was delivered by N Benthungo Ngullie while the benediction was said by Chungthung Ngullie, pastor of Nrung Longidang Baptist Church.

On December 14, Lebu Krose, Deputy District Education Officer, Wokha, graced the event as the special guest while dedication of bundle was performed by Rev. S Thungrio Khuvung, assistant pastor of WTBC.
