Chuchuyimpang (Mokokchung), August 11 (EMN): The new school building of Government High School Chuchuyimpang constructed under RMSA (2016-17) was inaugurated by Rowainla, Deputy District Education Officer, Mokokchung, on Friday.
Started in the year 1963 as LP School and upgraded to GMS in 1967, the school was finally upgraded to High School in 2012 according to the school’s golden jubilee magazine. The new building includes a computer lab, science Lab, and a library.
Speaking at the programme, the Deputy DEO asserted that teachers can do a lot to transform the mindset of the people because they have the resources in their hand. She was speaking about the zenith of corruption and unrest in the Naga society.
Rowainla opined that “if we change the mindset of our students, we can change the whole world.”
Also stating that the mistakes of teachers are reflected on the nation, she cautioned the teachers “to be careful in order not to reflect our mistakes on the humans who are our future.”
Speaking about the peak of technological era and humans looking towards future with more scientific development and invention, she expressed hope that the teaching community can also achieve it when the teachers and students co-operate and understand each other.
She also encouraged the students not to be disheartened studying in a government school, saying she too is a government school product and urged the students to bring excellence result as their predecessor had accomplished.
The dedicatory prayer was offered by I Wati Imsong, pastor of Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church, while the construction report was tendered by TN Alem, VEC, and R Amongla Jamir, AHM, GHS Chuchuyimpang, pronounced the vote of thanks.
