GBs endorse separate dialogue with Nagas of Nagaland

Dimapur, March 9 (EMN): Having observed that the issue of Naga integration is not possible at this present time and juncture, Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF) suggested building Naga nation at earnest by initiating separate political dialogue between Government of India (GOI) and Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) of the present Nagaland for a acceptable and honourable political solution for mainland Nagas.
NGBF issued this statement following a meeting with the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) on March 9. A joint statement to this effect was issued by NGBF president and general secretary I Shalem Konyak and Shikuto Zalipu, along with GPRN/NSCN Ato Kilonser N Kitovi Zhimomi, general secretary (NNC Parent body) V Nagi, president NSCN (R) Wangtin Naga, NNC/NPGN co-convenor Hozheto Chophy, and NNC/GDRN co-convenor Kiumukam Yimchunger.“The ultimate desire of the Naga people is to live and progress as free and independent people and until such time arrives, a solution for mainland Nagas will go a long way in strengthening the Naga identity, preserve and promote emotional integration among Nagas in India and Myanmar, the joint statement said.
