Futsal tournament underway at Jalukie

Dimapur, October 13: A Futsal tournament got underway on Thursday at the local ground of New Jalukie with executive engineer PWD(R&B) Peren, Er Nimo Kath as the chief guest of the inaugural programme. Kath in his speech motivated the players with a biblical passage and encouraged them to read the Bible every day. Mathiuthai Gonmei, the executive secretary of Rongmei Baptist Association (RBA), Nagaland opened the event with a prayer. Benwangbou Pamei, convener of the tournament pronounced a welcome speech, this was informed in a press release from the organisers. Altogether, 31 teams are participating in the tournament. Former international football player, Roko Angami will grace the closing event as guest of honour on October 15 from 1:30 pm onwards.
