Medziphema, April 20 (EMN): On day-3 of the ongoing 5 Frolic Cup 2017, eight aspiring teams locked horns to book berths into the next round of the knockout tournament where 39 teams are participating from all over Nagaland. In the morning matches, Molvom Youth & Students’ Union trounced a younger team, Frolic Jr. 4-0, while the second match saw KYC ‘A’ defeat Lhangkichoi FC, Molvom, 1-0.
In the afternoon, FC Zougham, Bokajan, beat Sparkle United FC, 2-1, whereas Sporting Club, Phaipijang, downed Alato FC, Pherima, 2-0.
The matches for April 21 includes Genesis FC, Medziphema Village, vs United FC, Medziphema at 7:00 am and Young Challengers FC, Medziphema, vs Starlit FC, Moava, at 8:30 am for morning showdown. The afternoon matches have Scampers United FC vs Tribal FC, Dimapur, at 2:00 pm and Leinghai FC vs Kickers FC, Chumukedima at 3:30 pm.
