Speaking to media, SP Themthing said the massive search and raids were organised at different places to nab the perpetrators on receiving news yesterday’s incident and arrested Sapam Nanda, a cadre of the banned outfit Prepak. Upon interrogation, he revealed the name of the other two persons involved. “They confessed that they have assembled the IED in the morning of August 13 and planted it around 7am and waited for opportune time to target the security forces,” he said. “They revealed that they exploded the IED using a remote control device from a distance of about 300 metres.”
