Forums and church to work in partnership to combat HIV/AIDS

Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): The Legislators’ Forum on AIDS (LFA), Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and the Nagaland Development Outreach (NDO) held a consultative meeting on church advocacy for HIV and AIDS on July 17.

According to a press release received here on Wednesday informed that the meeting was conducted to strengthen the ongoing advocacy.

During the meeting the members present decided that the LFA, NBCC and NDO will work in partnership. The organisations will develop strategies to mobilise the churches to generate community response and ownership with special focus on vulnerable and high prevalent district starting from Dimapur, Kohima, Kiphire, Noklak, Phek, Peren and others, it informed.

The meeting ended with a decision to organise a consultative workshop with Dimapur Pastors Fellowship and Dimapur Christian Forum.
