Forest dept. to host seminar on wildlife conservation

Dimapur, Nov. 8 (EMN): The Nagaland Forest department will be organising a publicity campaign to promote protection and conservation of forest and wildlife. The itinerary includes a seminar at 10:30 am on Nov. 10 in the recreation hall of the North East Electric Power Cooperation Limited, at Doyang in Wokha district.
Updates from the government bulletin DIPR informed that officials of the ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change; and political officials, chief wildlife wardens from the Northeast region; and officials from the police administration will attend.
Besides, members of the Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Forest departments, and paramilitary forces, village councils, schools, nongovernmental organisations, and other stakeholders will be attending the event.
The advisor of the Horticulture department, Mhathung Yanthan, will be the special invitee and the director general of Forests and Special Secretary to the Government of India Sidhant Das, the ‘guest invitee’ for the programme.
