Chingsha Phom struck four; while Rhitsho Mero and Khuangjang added three each as Head Hunters Jakhama thrashed Zhadima Jr FC 12-0 during their pre-quarterfinal match in the second match.
The young team from Zhadima failed to cope up with their opponent’s pace and counter attacks as they conceded five goals in the first half and seven in the second to suffer a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Head Hunters.
In the match, Chingsha Phom exploited the weak defence of Zhadima to score four goals in the 19th, 34th, 35th and 48th minute, while hat-trick scorers Khuangjang scored in the 6th, 10th and 20th minute and Rhitsho scored in the 39th, 45th and 58th minute. Hranglen (29’) and Haotinmang (31’) added a goal each in either half.
Zhadima team’s defensive errors and lack of experience hindered their game as they failed to register a single shot on target in the match while their opponent kept a clean sheet in the match.
Scripting a historic win, Head Hunters have now scored 20 goals in two matches with Chingsha (seven goals) and Rhitsho (six goals).
