DIMAPUR, AUGUST 29
Nagaland Governor, PB Acharya on Saturday encouraged members of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) – the state government’s publicity cell – to focus on “disseminating right information and creating awareness of social issues.”
A DIPR report stated that the Governor delivered this advice during his interaction with DIPR officials at the Raj Bhavan today. “He also opined that DPROs need to keep abreast with the changing demands and need to keep in touch with the people to know their difficulties and requirements, as frequent interaction with the people will result in positive returns,” the report stated.
Reportedly, the Governor also shared that “if the DPROs fulfill their responsibilities, the state will witness positive changes.” He was also quoted as saying that “Nagaland will not be able to progress unless the educated people seize the responsibility with the target to bring about positive changes. The Governor also informed that starting from ENPO district he would tour various districts once the monsoon is over.”
