First inter school dance competition Nagaland held at DPS Dimapur

With an aim to promote art and creativity, the Delhi Public School Dimapur (DPSD) organised the first inter school dance competition Nagaland on October 13.

An update issued from the school on October 15 stated that the competition was an open genre competition where the participants were judged on the parameters of performance, choreography and originality, theme and music, costume and expression.

Altogether six schools were said to have participated including- Maple Treee School, Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School, Christina Memorial Higher Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya Project Sewak Dimapur and Delhi Public School.

DPSD won the competition followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Project Sewak Dimapur and Christina Memorial Higher Secondary School bagged 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.

The update further informed that the panel of judges for the event was Felix Mathew, Professional Choreographer and Fitness Instructor based in Dimapur; Priya Raut, Director of Arts and Motion Dance and Fitness Academy, Burma Camp Dimapur; Pallavi Engtipi, Director of Stepping Stones Dance Academy, Bokajan.
