Continuing with its awareness campaign for conservation of wildlife, environment and climate change, Fingerprint conducted a programme with the students of Hope Academy. It may be mentioned here that Fingerprint had committed to visit 175 colleges and schools in Nagaland for the campaign.
During the programme, the team presented talks on the importance of unwanted plant in the ecosystem such as algae which is a major contributor of oxygen on the planet. The team described algae as a simple, non-flowering, ugly and dirty green plant floating on water bodies and under water as seaweeds, which looks nauseating and worthless but constituted one of the most important sources of oxygen.
Students were informed that algae produce 50 – 70 percent of the oxygen that we breathe today. The team enlightened that outcome of such knowledge is not to start harvesting algae but to give importance to every living being since they are helping for our survival on this planet.
