Guwahati, July 25 (PTI): A marginal farmer allegedly committed suicide today by hanging himself from a tree in Morigaon district as the current wave of flood completely destroyed his paddy field, police said. 23-year old Patel Chouhan allegedly hanged himself from a a tree at Ambagan village under Bhuragaon revenue circle in Morigaon district. The farmer’s family was affected by the present wave of flood and his paddy field was destroyed by the flood. On July 23, a handicapped person namely Kushal Nath (45) had also committed suicide in a sheltered house in Bordubatup village under Bhuragaon revenue circle.
