Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): The Red Shield Division in coordination with Rajya Sainik Board of Nagaland organised ex-servicemen rally for veterans from the districts of Kohima, Phek, Kiphire, Wokha, Zunheboto, and adjoining areas of Zakhama on May 15-16 at Zakhama military station.
A press release from the defense wing on Thursday informed that the deputy general officer commanding the Red Shield Division, during his address assured the veterans who attended the rally of all possible support from the Army in mitigating their grievances. The press note said that, during central interaction, grievances of all the attending veterans and Veer Naris (widows of defense personnel) were addressed in presence of Army, Pension Cell, and civil government officials.
According to the press note, the aim of the event was to reach out to the ex-servicemen and Veer Naris and to address their grievances, update them on entitlements and also redress pension anomalies.
