EVM demonstration held in Wokha

Wokha, Dec. 16 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, on December 16 conducted a consultation meeting with all the sector magistrates (HODs) in regard to the forthcoming general election and sensitised on handling the voting machines held in his office chamber. The DC informed the sector magistrates to visit all the polling stations in their respective areas and demonstrate the voting machines to the local populace. He has directed the HODs to complete the demonstration before the first week of January 2018. He has also informed the magistrates to provide a sketch map of the sector with all polling stations, mentioning details of time and distance along the route in visiting the stations in order to carry out the works effectively. He has further advised the sector magistrates to coordinate with the RO and ARO. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner reminded the Sector Magistrates to attend the “Leadership and motivational training” scheduled from December 18 to 20 at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima, without fail.
