Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): District Health Society, Peren, announced to conduct a multispecialty health mela on March 16 at New Tesen village under Tening block in Peren district.
Multispecialist doctors on Obstetric & Gynaecologist, rural surgeon, paediatrics (child specialist), medicine specialist, eye specialist and dental surgeon will be available during the health mela. Apart from free health checkups and distribution of free medicines, sensitisation of public in the form of one to one and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) by the IEC personnel will be conducted.On spot immunisation, various laboratory testing, family planning services such as Copper T insertion, Ante-natal check up for pregnant mothers will be done. Free nutritional packages will also be distributed to the pregnant mothers coming for check up.
Also to commemorate the World Glaucoma Week, free screening camp for glaucoma and cataract cases will be conducted starting from March 12 to 18. All the public of Tening block and nearby villages are informed to come and avail the various health services at the health mela.
