Election observer cannot exist, says DDGBA

Dimapur, Feb. 18 (EMN): The Dimapur District GB’s Association (DDGBA) has adopted a few resolutions during its meeting held at Tourist lodge on Feb. 16. The association resolved that “election observer cannot exist” as there was no mention on election in its constitution and all the members agreed to stand as per the constitution.
The house has resolved to drop G.B Isawoto Jimomi on the ground that he didn’t abide by the constitution of DDGBA. It said that Isawoto’s write-up to the press was misleading as G.B Trithrongse, Sangtam Customary Law court Convener attended the “meeting on Feb. 16 and clarified, which was published without their consent.”
The DDGBA selected G.B Zepto Rengma as the new treasurer to replace G.B P. Dohoi Swu, who expressed his inability to hold the post on health ground, and G.B Kikhevi Yepthomi was unanimously elected as the vice president of the association with effect from Feb. 16.
The house resolved to collect membership fee tribe-wise, through tribe G.B union/ association. The office of DDGBA also thanked the G.B union of Ao, Lotha, Angami and others who contributed financially towards the new team of the association lead by president G.B Longer Jamir.
