Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has asked the Nagaland Planning Machinery Service Association (NPMSA) to take its grievances to the court instead of resorting to agitation.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the ENSF stated that the association has no right to question the “legally justified decision of the state government or moral authority when large number of employees has questionable entry into the department.”

“To set the records straight, there was no approved/ notified service rules of the department since its inception, and it was only by the recent honourable cabinet that approved the service rules (SR) 2019 on 29th June 2019 strictly basing on the High Court order dated 20th May 2019 and the Rules of Executive Business 2016. It is a point to be noted that the court’s observation that the posts of assistant development commissioner (ADC) and OSD (SD) are not inter-transferable was correct since the post of OSD (SD) was not mentioned in the draft Service Rules of 2010,” it stated.

According to the ENSF, this is one classic case of how the people of Eastern Nagaland are systematically deprived, victimised and denied employment opportunities.

“The association has utilised all its resources at its disposal to sabotage the career of I Sino Phom for the last 7-8 years despite the multiple favourable High Court verdicts and the cabinet decisions only vindicated that this group have (sic) no respect for the rule of law when it comes to the interest of the Eastern Nagaland. However, the ENSF shall not succumb to any sort of blackmail, threats and will not remain a mute spectator to a group with malafide intent. It is not the individual case of I Sino Phom but a glaring example of the decades of insults and deprivations hurled upon the people of Eastern Nagaland,” read the statement.
