EAC probationers sensitised on BSG movement

Kohima, May 19 (EMN): Nagaland State Bharat Scouts & Guides (NSBSG) has organised a sensitisation programme for 2018 EAC probationers about the scouting/ guiding movement at the conference hall of Life Members building at Bayavii Hill, Kohima, on May 18.

The orientation programme was organised for the first time to instil among the officers about the fundamentals and activities involved in the worldwide movement.

Scouting/ Guiding is a voluntary, non-political, educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods conceived by the founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907.

Three members have reaffirmed their scout/guide promises while other eight were inducted as members into the worldwide movement.

Earlier, Atuo Mezhiir Sekhose, State Chief Commissioner of NSBSG, highlighted on the noble movement of Bharat Scouts & Guides and welcomed EAC probationers to the programme.

Altogether 11 EAC probationers attended the programme.
