Dimapur, Jan. 21 (EMN): The Dhansiri River Flood Control Board (DRFCB) has appealed to the department of Urban Development to construct ‘the suspension bridge at Dhansiri River (Purana Bazaar) immediately’ before the arrival of summer, in the interest of “5,000 to 10,000 students and public (sic) who ply by foot through the narrow passage every day.”
The DRFCB issued a statement on Sun. stating that the department had turned a deaf ear to similar appeals made by several organisations.
“The board also request to the department of Urban Development to give a reason as to why the construction work have been suspended or stopped at the Dhansiri River?” it read.
