DOPT training culminates in Mon

Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) sponsored Induction Training Programme for newly recruited group-‘B’ & ‘C’ State government employees of Mon district and conducted by ATI, Kohima, in collaboration with district administration culminated on March 10.

The resource persons from the district besides making motivational talk imparted training on personal effectiveness, personal and organisational values, qualities of excellent employees, verbal and non verbal communication, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, E-Governance, problem solving and decision making, managing conflict, leadership and team building, time management, emotional intelligence and goal setting, a DIPR report said.

It also said resource persons from ATI Kohima imparted training on the Nagaland Government State Serve Conduct Rules of 1968, The Nagaland Services Rules 1967, file management, noting and drafting skills, forms of communications, RTI Act 2005, maintenance of service books, seniority and promotion, cyber security, NPS, course evaluation and disaster management.

As part of the training, field visit to Shiyong village was organised on March 4. The purpose of the visit was to familiarise the trainees on social, cultural and economic environment of the local populaces and to observe the issues, challenges and problems faced by the local citizens and also to observe various village development programme structures and its impact.

The trainees held meetings and interacted with the village council and later visited a tea garden and cardamom field.

Besides, the trainees also conducted cleanliness drive around the monolith area of Mon town in collaboration with Mission I Love My Mon Town (ILMMT) on March 9. The programme concluded with distribution of certificates to the trainees by the ADC, Mon.

Altogether 34 trainees from different departments under Mon district participated in the training which began on February 28.
