Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has revised the rate of mutton with reference to the joint representation submitted by the mutton vendors of Dimapur on May 1.
An update from the DMC on Thursday informed that after discussion and comparing with the rate from Assam, the rates are revised as follows:

| Mutton (wether) | INR 500/- per kg |
| Mutton (non – wether) | INR 450/- per kg |
| Offal | INR 250/- per kg |
‘The above prescribe rate is the maximum amount fixed by DMC which is to be strictly followed by the mutton vendors. Appropriate action as per the provision of the act will be initiated against any defaulters. This order will be enforced with immediate effect,’ the update added.
