In Peren, the district’s board met in the new DC complex in Peren. According to the IPR, Deputy Commissioner Sarita Yadav lauded the officers for their ‘contributing their selflessness’ during the recent parliamentary elections in the district.

The establishment of the chief medical officer for Peren was also stated to have expressed gratitude to the division’s departmental staffers who gave their services during the measles and rubella vaccination campaign in the district.

During the meeting, the deputy commissioner gave away certificates to the establishments that rendered efforts during the vaccination campaign.

The establishments that received the certificates were the Social Welfare and Education departments; administration; the IPR division for Peren; chief medical officer and its staffers, and the All Nagaland Private Schools Association, the IPR stated.

In other matters, the issue of introducing science stream for the government higher secondary school of Peren was discussed by the officials. The board decided to forward the matter and the decision to it, to the authorities in concern, the IPR stated.
