Dimapur’s DEO meet with dept. heads

Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): The district election officer of Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel has convened a meeting with all heads of departments in Dimapur district on Feb. 3. The meeting is to be conducted in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office, updates from the DPRO informed on Sat. Patel has directed all the heads of departments to ensure that the staff under them, who are on election duty, to submit form-12 on or before Feb. 7 at DC’s office, along with supporting documents. Along with Form 12, the person has to submit the government’s detail order, and their EPIC/ government service ID card, the DEO informed. The officer has also asked the heads of departments to do as informed at the earliest. Unless form-12 is ready, the administration has reminded, it will be difficult to issue postal ballots. The officer informed further that Xerox machines have been kept ready at the training site, Dimapur College, to aid in election-related matters to the ‘nodal’ officers. HODs were also directed to submit names of extra drivers along with phone numbers latest by Feb. 9 so that they could be utilised on polling day. DEO reiterated that he will not consider for exemption of election duties besides those who are recommended by the medical board stating that there is shortage of polling personnel. Informing the HODs about the 2nd round of training which would be conducted very soon, he Dimapur called offices to convince their staffs for attending the trainings sincerely. SDO (C) in charge of postal ballot, Kemciyile informed in the meeting informed that acknowledgement slips would be issued on receipt of Form 12 to avoid confusions. Assistant Election officer Dimapur Rolland Merry who was also in the meeting, informed all concerned who are enrolled outside Dimapur, for tracing out their serial number in the electoral roll, constituency where the person has been enrolled and the polling station number stating that these details would be required for postal ballots.
