The noble endeavour of the organisers- Sky Entertainment, The Institute for Music Education and Crescendo Events in putting up the event- targeted the event for the benefit of the under privileged children who have profound inclination towards music but are unable to afford music schools or receive formal music trainings. It was significant that this year’s World Music Day will have an enduring productive result for these children.

Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu gracing the World Music Day celebrations at Dimapur as the chief guest confided that the organisers had approached quite a few of the state’s legislators to grace the event, however it was received with unenthusiastic response. Thus, as a state representative and music enthusiast, the legislator conveyed he is here tonight on behalf of the state legislators to encourage artists so that through music the community can contribute for a better society.
