Dimapur bids farewell to outgoing DC

Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): Dimapur district bade farewell to its deputy commissioner, Sushil Kumar Patel, who is going on deputation to UP after serving the district for over one year. A farewell programme to honour the outgoing officer was held on January 11 in the DC’s conference hall, Dimapur.

Delivering his farewell speech, the outgoing DC thanked the state government for the trust on him to serve as DC Dimapur when the assembly election was only few days away. The DC has termed his tenure in Dimapur as peaceful one.

On the successful conduct of both the state assembly and Lok Sabha elections in such a short period, Patel has attributed to the support and cooperation of his subordinate officers. He also mentioned some departments who have exceptionally performed their duties particularly thanked the DPRO Dimapur for highlighting all activities in media for the benefits of the masses.

Outgoing DC also thanked all officers and staff in the district for efficiently discharging their assigned works. He also appreciated his drivers and bodyguards for their services.

Incoming DC, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, in his speech, complimented the outgoing DC for the successful conduct of two elections during his short stay in Dimapur and wished him well in all his endeavours. Assuring to do his best, the incoming DC also sought the support and cooperation of all the officers and staff in the district.

SDO (C) Dimapur, Nympho Wallim, speaking on behalf of the headquarters officers, described the outgoing DC as compassionate, sincere, dedicated hard-working, humble, friendly and dependable leader who is always open to ideas and suggestions. She further thanked him for all the positive changes he had introduced to the office and the district. Wishing him well in his future assignment, Wallim also requested him to be an ambassador of Naga people.

Also bidding farewell to EAC Dimapur, Wiridin, who has been transferred to Pungro, SDO (C), described the officer as an honest young officer adding the people of Pungro were fortunate to have him.

She also welcomed the incoming DC on behalf of officers and all the people of Dimapur.

The outgoing EAC, Wiridin, thanked the DC for his support and said he was privileged to work under him.

Speeches were also delivered by ADC Niuland, Athrila S, on behalf of outpost administrative officers; Superintendent, Longri Ao, on behalf of staff of DC office; Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Limasunep; head of departments, representatives from NGOs, civil societies and well wishers.
