Dimapur, Sep.12 (EMN): The newly constructed section of building of Government High School, Dilong, Mokokchung, constructed under RMSA was inaugurated on September 12, with Joint Director of School Education, Rowainla as the chief guest.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Rowainla said GHS Dilong which is the oldest school in Mokokchung town is blessed to have a much needed building. With the improvement in the infrastructure of the school, she said both teachers and students must re-dedicate themselves so that the school would excel in academic results as well as in other aspects.
Stating that the teachers are lucky to be teaching in a government school, Rowainla urged the teachers to be more efficient and hardworking since the sincerity as quality of teachers are reflected through students. She also urged the students to be more committed in their studies and adding that they are more fortunate with better and more qualified teachers in government schools.
Associate Pastor MTBA, Rev. Chuba offered a dedicatory prayer.
Headmistress of the school, Kibangsangla delivered a note of gratitude while special song was presented by the students of class 10 (A). The programme was attended by School Managing Board members, Dilong Ward Authority and well wishers.
Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School new building, constructed under RMSA, was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, who is also the Chairman of the School Managing Board, as the guest of honour, on September 11.
After the inauguration of the new building, a formal programme was held at the School Auditorium. At the programme, DC Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel maintained that MGHSS is one school in the district where progress has been visible. Reminiscing his school dayshe said,unlike his time, most schools today are equipped with advance technology. He on the same line encouraged the students to take advantage of the facilities to achieve the best and contribute the best to the society.
Patel pointed that the image and reputation of the school depends on the students. He reiterated that unless students are sincere the school itself cannot maintain its own image. He added that students today are passing through a time where employment is a great challenge. It is high time for the young people to think seriously about their future, he further said.
Joint Director, School Education, Rowainla, in her speech mentioned that MGHSS is one of the best schools in the district, something teachers and the students should be proud of. She called on the teachers and students to be more humble and dedicated, and to move forward to maintain the reputation of the school which have produced many great personalities.
