Dimapur, Oct. 12: FC Alianza and P Vizheto FC won on day-9 with both team scoring hat-trick during the ongoing Dimapur Football League (DFL) season 1 at the Dimapur District Sports Complex Stadium in Dimapur on Fri. Oct. 12.

During the first match, FC Alianza subjugated Titan SCC 3-1. The two teams managed to play through the soggy ground hungry for a win, despite a cold drizzling day.

After a long play down, Laiwang Konyak of FC Alianza scored the first goal of the day in the 25th minute. It was the only goal in the first half which gave both the teams a little more breathing room and the boost they needed to come out better in the next half.

In the second half, the second goal for FC Alianza was also scored by Laiwang Kongyak in the 48th minute which was immediately countered by David from Titan SCC with a goal in the 49th minute.

During the 75th minute, Laiwang Konyak achieved his second hat-trick of the tournament with a final goal which immobilised Titan SCC.

Before the second match, a momentary programme was conducted where Laiwang Konyak was awarded the ‘man of the match.’

The match patron for the day was entrepreneur Hokuto Zhimo. While addressing the audience, he acknowledged the organisers for hosting the DFL and for inviting him as a match patron. He encouraged the players to make use of the tournament in order to mould and showcase their talents.

Zhimo requested the players to maintain discipline throughout the game even if they are winning or losing and to become inspirational players for Nagaland to represent the nation.

Remnants of the drizzle could not stop P Vizheto FC to achieve a hat-trick in the second match, dominating Ekhyo FC 4-0.

The first goal for P Vizheto was scored by Kato in the 12th minute of the first half.

In the second half, Winamthiu scored the second goal in the 40th minute. It was then followed by a third and a fourth goal by Kato in the 55th and 59th minute, which allowed him to achieve the hat-trick.

Day-10 of the DFL will be conducted on Saturday Oct. 13. The first match will be played between Chanan FC and Dorian’s Society at 1 pm. While the second match will be between United V and S versus A1 Power Play Club at 3:30 pm.
