Dimapur, Nov. 2 (EMN): Expressing concern over high rate of HIV infections in the district, Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Sedevikho Khro, called upon the medical professionals and every individual to spread awareness on the menace of the disease.
The Deputy Commissioner stated this during the meeting of the District Task Force (DTF) on November 2 held in his office’s chamber.
The achievement during the first round of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) in the district was presented wherein it was reported that 212 children were immunised during the programme. The target beneficiaries were 0-2 years and pregnant mothers.Tsiatsüvi, DPO NSACS, also requested district initiative for HIV/AIDS awareness at the village level and also sought support from allied departments for infected and affected families.
