Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): Deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, flagged off the Poshan Pakhwada (national nutrition mission) cycle rally on March 14 from city Clock Tower junction in which 70 participants took part in the rally supporting the cause.
Highlighting on the mission, CDPO Robert stated that Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan is a flagship programme launched by the prime minister, Narendra Modi, towards addressing under nutrition to each and every household by 2022. According to him, the mission aimed at reducing level of under nutrition and other related problems by ensuring convergence of various nutrition related schemes.
The programme was organised under the aegis of social welfare department, Dimapur. On the occasion, all the participants were given T-shirts, caps by the department.
