Dimapur, March 27 (EMN): The 52nd annual youth day of Chetheba Town Baptist Church, Christian Youth Endeavour, concluded at Chetheba Town Baptist Church on March 26. The three-day annual meet was held from March 24 to 26 on the theme “In step with God.”
During the meet, youth members were divided into groups namely Galatians (Junior team Chetheba), Philippians (Senior team Chetheba) and Ephesians (Kohima sector). Altogether 96 members were registered as the choir members.The praise and worship team was led by Agape College, Dimapur, which came along with the main speaker Thepukhoyi Kezo, lecturer of Agape College, Dimapur.
During the annual meet, a one-day workshop was organised on the topic ‘Value to youth life’ on Saturday which was moderated by Vezokho Swuro.
The annual meet also saw the groups competing in different events such as solo, duet, theme song, group indigenous etc. In the theme song competition, Ephesians (Kohima) was awarded as the first winner, while Phillipians (senior team) was declared second winners. In the indigenous song competition, the first position was bagged by Galatians (Junior team) and the second position by Ephesians (Kohima team).
On the second day, sports activities such as volleyball and tug-of-war for both men and women were organised. In the volleyball (men) Ephesians (junior) emerged as the winners while the Philippians (senior) was declared the second winner. In the tug of war for women, Phillipaians (Senior team) defeated the Junior team in the final.
Philippians (Senior team Chetheba) was adjudged as the group champion and was awarded cash prize of Rs 10000 donated by Nuzota Swuro in memory of brother late Dr Sulucuyi Swuro
