CRPF assists Naga youths’ foray into armed forces

Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): With an aim to enable the Naga youths to enter into the armed forces, the 173 Battalion CRPF, Airfield Dimapur has taken the initiative for assisting the unemployed youth of Nagaland with an objective to give them platform in the armed forces as well as to prepare them for job opportunities in various organisations.

Mention may be made that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently advertised recruitment for constable on General Duty in various Central Paramilitary Forces consisting CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, AR, SSF and NIA with a total vacancy of 54, 953 ( Male-47307 and Female-7646).

In this regard, 173 Battalion CRPF, Airfield Dimapur has been mobilising the Naga youth for enrollment by assisting them through online registrations of forms as per the requisite. A total of 598 Naga youths( male-486 and female-102) has successfully registered through the assistance of the said CRPF unit. Since 3rd September 2018, trained staffs of this unit has been giving free ‘Staff Selection Commission’ coaching classes and physical endurance test during the morning and evening hours to the registered candidates. The battalion initiated the programme, for creating awareness to the candidates and to make them adapt to the examination/tests that they would be undergoing very soon, the DIPR updated.
