CPL: Trinity Sporting maintains winning momentum

Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): Trinity Sporting maintained their consistency by edging pass STAFAC United 5-2 in the first game of the day in the ongoing Case Premier league.
STAFAC United dominated throughout the match but was not able to convert their attacking and ball possession into goals as they repeatedly missed good chances despite numerous attempts.
However, calculated counter attacks of Trinity Sporting paid off and STAFAC United gave in the later part of the match. Yanger (jersey no.9) of Trinity Sporting scored the first goal in the 16th Minute and later Atokito(jersey No.23) increased the tally through a penalty in the 20th minute of the match.
STAFAC United’s repeated attack paid off and in the 40th minute, Tichuilung (jersey no.21) scored to bring back the team into the game. After the break, Keneivikho (jersey no.3) scored the equaliser through a header only for the Trinity Sporting to come back in the game in the 58th Minute through a wonderful assist from Riju (jersey No 17) to let Atokito (jersey No.23) score and maintain the lead.
STAFAC United continued to miss some few sitters, at the same time hitting the wood work thrice, and Trinity Sporting as the most consistent team in the league were able to capitalise on the missed opportunities of the opponent team and converted their chances and took the game away as Lipok (jersey No. 10 and Meyi (jersey No.16) scored in the 72th and 73th minutes of the match to change the outcome of the game.
