IMPHAL, November 3: A Manipuri couple was found dead inside their own house in Manipur’s Jiribam sub-divisional headquarters on Thursday, reports said.
The incident came to light when family members tried to check the housewife as she failed to come out for her usual duty at their house at Champanagar of the sub-divisional headquarters, about 220 km west of here, it said.
The husband has been identified as L Iboyaima(35) son of Kunjamohan while the wife was identified as Chirom Ningol Sanjeeta Devi(30),sources from Jiribam said. Sanjeeta is a police constable.
The causes leading to their deaths have yet to be ascertained as both the dead (including the husband who was found hanging) were found inside the room, it said. The body of the housewife bore some marks. The couple left a 2 year old son.
A regular case has been registered to conduct an investigation into the incident, a police source from Jiribam town said.
