Eastern mirror: Are you self-taught or did you study fashion? Share with us your journey into the fashion world.
Alem Ozukum: Yes, I studied fashion. It all started as a hobby for me from my childhood days while designing dresses for paper dolls.

Eastern Mirror: What made you pursue fashion as a career?
Alem Ozukum: I have a niche for creativity, style, originality and execute style in everything I do. I took fashion designing more seriously as it is one of the best career opportunities to grab up right now.

Eastern Mirror: What made you realize you were on the right path?
Alem ozukum: Fashion not only satisfies our creative fancies and materialistic needs of the people, but it also comes with added perks like glamour, fame and money.

Eastern Mirror: How have your designs been received by your clients/ customers?
Alem Ozukum: Response from my clients has so far been positive. When it comes to clients, I try to meet the two purposes: fashion and comfort.

Eastern Mirror: Which fashion trend have you never been fond of and wish never existed?
Alem Ozukum: I was never fond of people in sagging pants and I think everyone gets annoyed seeing them in public places. I wish people wouldn’t repeat it again.

Eastern Mirror: What is the current style trend that you love?
Alem Ozukum: I don’t really care much about what is trendy, as it’ll go in and out of style. It’s better to know what works for you and not get too distracted. Just wear what you love!

Eastern Mirror: Tell us one thing that fashion has taught you?
Alem Ozukum: Hard work is one thing fashion has taught me. Without hard work nothing can be achieved.

Eastern Mirror: What’s one common mistake that Nagas make with fashion.
Alem Ozukum: Nagas have good taste in fashion but sometimes we pressure ourselves too much to stay in fashion, which sometimes ruins the whole look.

Eastern Mirror: What style tips would you give to all fashion lovers?
Alem Ozukum: Be yourself; give yourself a look that set’s you apart from the rest. It doesn’t matter whether we follow trends or not.
