KOHIMA, JULY 28

The Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has deferred its proposed protest march against backdoor appointments in police department, which was scheduled to be held on Tuesday, July 28.
NPYC’s president, Hitilo Tep informed that the congress’ youths’ call for a peaceful march to the Raj Bhavan in Kohima town to submit memorandum to the governor was called off due to the sudden demise of former president of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The day was subsequently declared a national holiday. The youth leader informed that the memorandum will be submitted to the governor ‘on any working day’ at a later schedule.
The Congress unit has thanked well-wishers and likeminded organizations for their support and cooperation in seeking justice. The NPYC hoped that they would continue to offer support.
