Y. Patton: Home Minister, Y Patton is shocked to learn the sudden and untimely passing away of KV Pusa, former Minister and veteran Congress leader, at the wee hours on January 2 at Kohima. He was 63, from Viswema village under Kohima District. Patton said late Pusa joined Indian National Congress (I) in 1988 and later became the president of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, NPCC (I) in 2008. He lamented that his sudden and untimely demise was a great loss to the Nagas in general and the Angamis in particular and the void created by his untimely demise will be difficult to fill.Patton along with his wife conveyed heartfelt condolences to bereaved family members and pray to Almighty to grant them strength at this hour of grief and the departed soul to rest in peace.

He said late Pusa, have represented Southern Angami II Assembly Constituency, under Kohima District, and subsequently elected for four terms on 1993, 1998, 2003 and 2008 respectively, and had served in various capacity with a variety of portfolios under Nagaland Legislative Assembly. He also said he served in the State Government, politcal party, student activities and non-religious social activities under different capacities. John described late Pusa sincere, hardworking and a competent public leader in his own capacity with kind hearted, integrity, ample bookish knowledge and vast wisdom. He regretted that vacuum caused by his premature death and his service to the Angami Community in particular and to Nagas in general would be very difficult to fill. He also conveyed that his untiring voluntary services to society and individual will be remembered by all. While sharing his sorrow and sympathy with the bereaved family, he prayed Almighty God to grant peace and solace to the departed soul.
