The news of the untimely death of a dear friend Late Lanunukshi, under such gruesome circumstance came as a massive shock that left me numb and sick. I am angry not only at the perpetrators for daring to commit such a horrific crime against an innocent young man but also at the system that has, over the years, allowed criminals to act boldly undermining the judicial system and the indifferent attitude of people towards criminals and heinous crimes.
I am in mourning and I dare speak out against the criminals who have no place in a civilized society. Every effort must be taken to book the culprits and be served with the strenuous punishment that is only befitting for such despicable beings. Every right thinking citizen and organisation should condemn the horrific crime that has cut short the life of a promising young man and devastated the lives of so many beloved ones.
