Colony residents demand power supply

Dimapur, Oct 23 (EMN): Besides intermittent power cuts in the last few days, five colonies namely Haralu Colony, Namgailong Colony, Power House Colony, New Colony, and Overbridge Colony are reported reeling under complete darkness as power supply to the colonies have been cut since October 21.
The colony residents were reported suffering not only for lack of electricity but also for want of water as everyone rely on pumping of ground water for daily use etc. It was reported that school children also could not study at night for lack of power supply. In the light of the above stated circumstances, the residents have requested the power department to take immediate action and mitigate their suffering without further delay.
The press release was jointly appended by chairman of Haralu Colony Aketo Zhimo, GB HP Zeliang, secretary Vikram Chetry, chairman of Namgalong Colony council Majachung Gangmei, GB Poushinglung Kami, secretary Gaithaolung and executive members Rokobeilie, Kamphur, Achampou, Gopal.
