Dimapur, April 18 (EMN): Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Tuensang, held a review meeting on Maternal Child Death Review (MCDR) in its conference hall on April 17.
In the meeting, Deputy CMO, Dr. I Temsu Longchar, highlighted on child death review operational guidelines. He also stated that the concerned health workers should fill up the format and submit it if a child or mother dies. He further directed DMO and DCM to conduct focus group discussion with the reluctant mothers and create awareness programme.
CMO Dr. Pangjung Sangtam informed that the district review meeting on MCDSR would be conducted time to time to prevent future maternal/child death.
The meeting was attended by CMO, Deputy CMO, MO (Gynaecologist), MO (Pathologist), GNM, MNG ward (DH), GNM paediatricians ward DH, LHV, DPM, DMO, DCM, BPM (Chessore block) and BPM (Tuensang block).
