Dimapur, April 18 (EMN): District Hospital and the office of Chief Medical Office (CMO), Longleng, observed Swaachta Pakhwada by organising mass social work in the office premises. The mass social work was organised with an aim to achieve total sanitation and cleanliness.
The team was led by Medical Superintendent and in-charge of Chief Medical Officer, Dr Toshirenla, and the Deputy CMO, Dr. Thungbemo Patton. All the staff from District Hospital and Chief Medical Office took part in the mass social work.
Besides, a free Hepatitis-B vaccination of health workers was also organised where all the staff from both District Hospital and Chief Medical Office were vaccinated. In a short programme, Dr. Temsusashi, SMO District Hospital, gave a brief introduction on Hepatitis B vaccine. He spoke on the importance of vaccination, signs and symptoms, causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment etc. He further encouraged all the staff to avail the free Hepatitis B vaccine.
