Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): The 2 day 11th Triennial general session of the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) successfully culminated on Oct. 10 at Baptist Theological College (BTC), Pfutsero. Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, Kewezu G. Kenye and Minister for Planning and Coordination, Neiba Kronu graced the sessions as the inaugural guest and the valedictory guest respectively. The conference was held on the theme, “transcending motherhood responsibility”.

MP, KG Kenye, while addressing the gathering at the inaugural session, stressed on the need to preserved the rich traditional and cultural values of the forefathers and urged mothers to educate their children with utmost efforts as part of promoting its cultural identity.

“Mothers have the big responsibilities to shoulder upon in order to build a better society and more meaningful way to live in,” said Kenye. He urged the mothers to initiate a humble responsibility by imparting the basic cultural and traditional values to instil in the minds of the upcoming youngsters.

Congratulating the CMA for being thoughtful at all times in prayer and in works at home, Kenye stated that, charity begins at home and appeals mothers to continue their tireless efforts in bringing up children to a right path thereby enabling the society to shelter on the youngsters one fine day.

At the valedictory session, Minister for Planning and Coordination, Neiba Kronu emphasised on the important role being played by the women in around the globe. Citing an instances of high position being occupied by the women, Kronu said, woman are second to none and further challenged the womenfolk to move forward with positive attitude.

while urging all mothers to be more responsible in their lives and respect the each other to achieved a targeted goal without delay, Kronu said that mothers have many roles to play in moulding the fragmented society. He therefore, urged the mothers to start at home with humility in their approach.

He also shared his plan and vision for the state and said that ‘the present day government is aimed for the development and will soon reached out to the people’.

“I have a plan to developed roads and power connectivity in our district as my priority where massive cooperation’s in all corners is required to execute the dreaming plans to turn in to reality,” the minister stated.

Kronu urged the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) to stand united in their endeavours and move forward with transparency and accountability. He further assured all possible assistance to the association in the days to come.

Earlier CMA Advisor Vechulo-u Kanuo led the valedictory session, Dr. Kuzhopoyo Tunyi, Pastor, CMCC invokes God’s blessings, Vetulu Kronu, former Naga Idol finalist enthralled the gathering with her special appearance, Asune and Hushezulu also entertained the congregation with their indigenous songs, words of gratitude was delivered by CMA Vice-president Zhonelu Tunyi.

Meanwhile, the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association has also installed a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2018-2021 with Zhonelu Tunyi from Kikruma Village as the president and Kezevinuo Krome as the general secretary. The new team of officials were administered with holy words and a blessing prayer by Rev. Dr. Neingupe Chiero, Pastor, Pfutsero Town Baptist Church (PTBC).
