Dimapur, July 11 (EMN): The chief minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, has urged citizens to give attention to issues concerning population and its impact. A twit by Rio on Wednesday mentioned family planning as a factor that also ensures a better future for the children.

Rio tweeted: #WorldPopulationDay seeks to focus attention on the urgency and importance of population issues. Let us uphold the “human right” to family planning and join hands to give our future children a better world to live in.

World Population day is observed on July 11 every year. It seeks to raise awareness about global population issues and to increase people’s awareness about various population issues such as the importance of family planning, gender equality, poverty, maternal health, and human rights.
