CM pays homage to victims of January 31 incident

Kohima, Feb. 23: The new chief minister, Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu and his cabinet colleagues today visited the graves of the victims of January 31 Dimapur violence late Khriesavizo Metha and late Bendangnungsang Longkumer, located at outside the Zonal Council Hall, Old MLA Hostel area in Kohima.

A brief prayer service was conducted by former state chaplain, Rev. K Luruo which was followed by the chief minister laying two wreaths at the grave site.

“Their (Khriesavizo and Bendang’s) deaths were a great loss to all of us. We share the grief with their parents and family members,” Shurhozelie said.
