Dimapur, August 23 (EMN) : The Chief Minister of Nagaland TR Zelaing on Wedesday offered his condolences to the on the demise of former Manipur chief minister and member of parliament Rishang Keishing.
” I am deeply pained to learn about the demise of one of India’s oldest Parliamentarian and Ex- Chief Minister of Manipur, Rishang Keishing” stated the chief minister in a letter to the bereaved wife Khatingla Keishing and family.
He stated that Rishang Keishing was ,”a colleague, a friend and a brother was a senior leader in the Indian National Congress Party and was a Member of Parliament representing Manipur in the Rajya Sabha, whom I regard as one of the most dynamic and veteran Statesman from Northeast India.”
“I, along with my family, offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved family members and well-wishers during this time of pain and grief and pray that Almighty God bestows unending comfort and solace to bear the loss of this great leader. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.”
