Dimapur, July 4 (EMN): The 1st Foundation Day of Chüketshe Society (CKS), Khezhakeno was celebrated on July 2 at Khezhakeno Village Council Hall.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the speaker, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, NCS, Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Additional Director of ATI and president Nagaland Civil Service Association, underscored the need for active participation and support from the village community towards the society’s activities.
He encouraged the society to finish well and not just be good starters. Further, he congratulated the society for attaining one year of its existence and expressed his joy and gratitude on the society’s various voluntary activities for the village welfare undertaken so far.President Tenyimi People’s Organisation, Timikha Koza, while exhorting the gathering, expressed his wish on young people coming together to contribute something for the village community and urged the society to carry forward the activities and plans of the village with unity.
VCC Khezhakeno and other leaders also spoke on the occasion.
To mark the occasion, meritorious award were presented to the students who cleared the HSLC exam 2017, from schools within the village vicinity. The society also announced “Best Sanitation Colony Award”, which will be given by year end.
The program was chaired by Vekhrolo Koza, vice president CKS, while invocation was pronounced by Ngolo Ngotha. Medovelo Koza, president CKS gave the presidential address and Vekhrotso Koza presented the report of the society. The programme was concluded with CKS theme song and a prayer by Thochii Koza.
The Foundation Day was also graced by various imminent personalities from other parts of Nagaland as well.
