Chozubami resolves to ensure free and fair election

Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): Chozubami Razuve Hoho, the apex body of the community in a general meeting with leaders on Sep. 23 resolved to sincerely ensure clean, free and fair election in the village.
A press release issued by CRH President Dusapra Nyekha, stated that considering the ensuing 2018 State Assembly Election, CRH convened a general meeting with public leaders, elders, church leaders, village council members, GBs, VDB members, women society, students and youth leaders and other representatives on Sep. 23 at the village and unanimously adopted two-point resolution.
In support of 18 points Clean Election Campaign adopted by NBCC and to which all political parties have also signed their commitment to abide by it, the CRH resolved to sincerely ensure clean, free and fair election in the village. The Hoho specifically directed the electorates not to sell their precious votes and the aspiring candidates not to attempt purchase of votes belonging to the community.
The hoho further resolved that until such time common platform is organised by the hoho at appropriate time for all contesting candidates of the constituency, no aspiring candidate, canvasser or agent from outside the local community shall be allowed to enter the village jurisdiction for campaigning purpose.
The CRH also informed all concerned member or aspiring candidate to comply with the resolutions adopted so as to ensure free and fair election, peaceful environment and to avoid any unwanted situation in and around the village.
