Kohima, Jan. 9 (EMN): The 27th meet of Chokri Area Wrestling Association (CAWA) will be held at Khulazu Basa village, local ground under Phek district on Jan. 12. A press release was issued by the organising committee on Tue.
Dr. Chotisüh Sazo, Advisor, Social Welfare will grace the occasion as the chief guest, and Vivolie Kezo, class-1 contractor as the guest of honour.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the four best Naga style wrestlers wherein the champion will walk home with a cash prize of INR 70,000 sponsored by CAWA, while the second prize will receive INR 60,000 sponsored by Mhaseto Nakro, principal, Polytechnic College Atoizu followed by third with INR 50, 000 sponsored by Ciekrotso Chüzho, class -1 contractor and fourth INR 40,000 sponsored by Zhovehü Kezo, secretary, VDB Khulazu Basa.
The one-day event will feature some of the top wrestlers in the Chokri area like Venuzo Dawhuo, Pfusato Tetseo, Besühveto Cümu, Thepukhoyi Swiiro etc.
The organising committee has invited all the well-wishers and spectators to witness the event.
Tickets will be available at the venue at INR 1000 for donors, INR 400 for chair middle row, INR 200 for chair third row and gallery at INR 100.
