Chokri area to hold cultural day programme

Kohima, Jan. 9 (EMN): The 16th cultural day programme of the Chokri Area Games and Sports Association (CAGSA) is scheduled on January 23 at Khulaxu Basa on the motto “Friendship & Progress.” Kudecho Khamo, chairman of Entrepreneur Development Agency, Kohima, would attend the occasion as the chief guest and Satahi Chuzho, CDPO Pfutsero, as the guest of honour. The association informed that a registration of INR 1000 and mess fee of INR 7000 would be collected from each unit. The competition for the cultural day would include group folk dance, group folk song (indigenous) women, tug of war, thügo mesü (traditional fire making), Udo küthi, and mecü keru (yodeling). The champion of the group folk dance would receive cash prize of INR 50,000 (running) donated by late H Pire Tunyi. The association further invited all well-wishers, all VCCs, VDBs, social workers from the area to attend the 16th cultural session.
